Was happy to have watched it in the local pub for the comedy own goal at least, it provided at least 5mins of gallows humour, the fact they proceeded to ship another goal soon afterwards was very Scotland though....
A terrible performance all round....I know why they did it, but the tactic of standing off them, and letting them have the ball in deeper areas, to avoid getting beaten one on one, really didn't work. The only way we'll ever have a chance against much better teams is by getting in their face and unsettling them.
In theory it made sense to play a more physical player like McTominay in central midfield (instead of our best passer of the ball Billy Gilmour), but as Lupo will know big Scott has never been a particularly defensively disciplined midfielder....
Can't see Clarke making the same mistake twice, thankfully.
